Police detain 46 protesters in Yerevan

Forty-six people were detained at the disobedience rally in Yerevan organised by the opposition on September 21 evening.

Zarzand Gabrielyan, spokesman for the press service of the Armenian Interior Ministry made the statement, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.

Earlier, the organisers of the rally called on their supporters to block the streets in the centre of the Armenian capital. The protesters split into several groups and started blocking various intersections.

In some cases, there were clashes with the police, who deployed additional forces to the place of action.
