Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, highlighted the West's destabilizing role in the South Caucasus during a briefing, as reported by Report.

Zakharova asserted that Western nations aim to prevent regional countries from fostering relations, preferring perpetual hostility instead.

"From their point of view, the countries of the region should not establish ties with each other, but should be at enmity. Neighbors should not be concerned with the economy, trade, or infrastructure, but with an endless showdown of relations. They need to squeeze Russia out of the South Caucasus. I think that everyone sees these trends in Baku and other capitals. I think that in many ways we agree with them," Zakharova stated.

She emphasized the strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Azerbaijan, underscoring the robust relationship between the two nations.
