Armenia signals readiness to synchronise Trump Route with Azerbaijani infrastructure
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that Armenia is prepared to move forward with the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) with the possibility of synchronising it with Azerbaijan's logistics infrastructure.
Pashinyan made the remarks during a parliamentary session, where he addressed regional connectivity and the future of cross-border infrastructure development in the South Caucasus, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“This project is included in the Armenian-American agenda,” Pashinyan said, referring to TRIPP — a transport and infrastructure initiative backed by the United States aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and economic integration.
The Prime Minister noted that while the Armenian section of TRIPP is not directly linked to Azerbaijan’s existing infrastructure, Yerevan is open to coordination and technical synchronisation where beneficial.
At the same time, Pashinyan acknowledged that Azerbaijan retains full autonomy over how it names or configures its part of the broader logistics network.
