Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan strengthen ties with new agreements PHOTO

Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev has headed a delegation on a working visit to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, to attend the meetings of the prosecutors general of the Organisation of Turkic States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

On July 24, the delegation conducted several bilateral meetings, the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office told Caliber.Az.

During his visit, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev met with Kyrgyzstan’s newly appointed Prosecutor General, Maksat Asanaliev. They held a ceremony to sign an Agreement on Cooperation and a Cooperation Programme for 2025-2026, aimed at strengthening future relations between the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.

Aliyev also had discussions with Turkish Prosecutor General Muhsin Senturk and Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Kubanychbek Omuraliev. He extended invitations to COP29 and the 29th annual conference and general meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors, scheduled to take place in Baku from September 29 to October 2.

Azerbaijani Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Latif Gandilov, participated in these meetings.

Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan have maintained diplomatic relations marked by mutual cooperation and collaboration across various sectors. Both countries share common interests and values as members of various international organisations.

High-level meetings and visits have been a regular feature of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan relations. These interactions often focus on strengthening political, economic, and cultural ties.

Several bilateral agreements have been signed to enhance cooperation in areas such as trade, energy, education, and security.
