Ambassador hails Azerbaijan-Pakistan strategic partnership
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu has met with newly-appointed Pakistani Ambassador to Russia Muhammad Khalid Jamali.
Polad Bulbuloglu congratulated his colleague on his appointment to a new position and wished him success in his future activity, the Azerbaijani embassy in Russia told Report.
He also informed Jamali about his activity as the head of the diplomatic corps in Russia.
The Azerbaijani ambassador said that the high-level strategic partnership and political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Pakistan will play a positive role in the interaction of the embassies of the two countries in Russia.
The Pakistani diplomat thanked for the meeting and assured that he would make every effort to continue and develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the two embassies in Russia.
Polad Bulbuloglu informed the Pakistani ambassador about Azerbaijan’s successful local anti-terrorism measures in the Karabakh region, which were directed against illegal armed groups on the Azerbaijani territory.
The ambassador also thanked Pakistan for supporting Azerbaijan’s fair position, in particular during the 44-day second Karabakh war.
In turn, Muhammad Khalid Jamali emphasised that the Pakistani people and government have always been close to Azerbaijan.
At the end of the meeting, Polad Bulbuloglu presented the book “Karabakh before and after the occupation” published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to his colleague.
