ANAMA seeks cooperation with global organizations
The Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) is interested in cooperation with international organizations in the field of mine clearance.
Ramil Azizov, head of the Department for Education, International Relations and Public Relations of ANAMA, made the remarks while speaking at the event "Solidarity with Mine Victims in the South Caucasus: An Important Pillar of the Strategy to eliminate mines and their consequences" in Baku, according to Report.
He said international cooperation helps to get acquainted with innovations in this field and share experiences.
"ANAMA cooperates with various international institutions. We will continue to make efforts to further expand these ties," Azizov said.
He added that ANAMA sappers have already cleared 110 hectares of land from mines and unexploded ordnance.
"The Agency has quite a lot of experience in the field of mine clearance. After the 44-day Patriotic War, more than 18,000 anti-tank mines, more than 30,000 anti-personnel mines, and over 56,000 unexploded ordnance were discovered and neutralized," he added.
