Anatolian Phoenix 2023 drills wrap up in Türkiye PHOTO
The Anatolian Phoenix-2023 (Anadolu Ankası-2023) international military exercises were held in Konya.
Military personnel from Azerbaijan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Qatar took part in the exercises held at the base of the 3rd command of the Turkish Air Force in the province of Konya, according to Anadolu.
Representatives of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia and Germany were present in the exercise as observers.
All tasks within the framework of the exercises were as close as possible to combat ones. Jet aircraft, early warning aircraft, transport aircraft, UAVs and helicopters were involved.
Also, for the first time, T70 multi-purpose helicopters and Qatari Air Force Apache helicopters were used in the exercises.
Turkish Air Force Commander Atilla Gulan observed the exercises.
Scenarios for the protection of a military convoy, air support, evacuation of the wounded from the combat zone, parachute landing and evacuation of personnel have been worked out.
F-16 fighters hit the targets, the coordinates of which were transmitted by special forces from the front line. All tasks have been successfully completed.
