Ankara to commemorate heroes of Caucasian Islamic Army
Ankara will host an event on September 16 to honor the heroes of the Caucasian Islamic Army and Enver Pasha.
The event will take place at the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Organized by the Turkish-Azerbaijani Friendship, Cooperation, and Solidarity Foundation, the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, and the Azerbaijani Embassy in Türkiye, the ceremony will pay tribute to the martyrs of Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
The program includes a screening of a documentary film highlighting the Caucasian Islamic Army's role in establishing Azerbaijan's statehood. Additionally, speeches by prominent scholars and public figures are scheduled, and an exhibition showcasing the events of 1918 in Azerbaijan will be featured.
The event aims to recognize and commemorate the pivotal contributions of the Caucasian Islamic Army to the region's history and statehood.
