Armenia plans to address OSCE regarding abolition of Minsk Group
Armenia is contemplating an appeal to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) regarding the dissolution of the Minsk Group.
Nazeli Baghdasaryan, spokeswoman for the Armenian Prime Minister, shared this development on Facebook, stating that Armenia is considering raising the issue with the OSCE, Caliber.Az reports.
“In response to questions from a number of media outlets, I inform you that the Republic of Armenia is considering the possibility of appealing to the OSCE regarding the dissolution of the Minsk Group,” Baghdasaryan posted.
The OSCE Minsk Group, established in 1992 to resolve the “Nagorno-Karabakh” conflict, was the only international organization carrying out its mediation mission in the issue.
The Minsk Group, co-chaired by Russia, the United States, and France, has long been a key platform for negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the disputed territory. However, recent tensions and evolving geopolitical dynamics have led to calls for reassessing or even dissolving the group, especially following the cessation of hostilities in 2020.
