Armenia recalls its permanent representative to CSTO

Armenia has recalled Viktor Biyagov from the post of the republic's permanent and plenipotentiary representative to the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO).

"Based on the proposal of the prime minister [Nikol Pashinyan], in accordance with the articles of the Constitution and the law on diplomatic service, to recall Viktor Biyagov from the post of Armenia's permanent and plenipotentiary representative to the CSTO," President Vahagn Khachaturyan said in a decree posted on the presidential website, Interfax reports.

Biyagov was appointed Armenia's post-president to the CSTO in November 2018.

Other presidential decrees appointed Biyagov as Armenia's ambassador to the Netherlands and the republic's permanent representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
