Armenian, Kazakh leaders forge new momentum in bilateral ties
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held discussions with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during his official visit to Astana, Kazakhstan, the president’s press service (Akorda) reported, as per Caliber.Az.
President Tokayev underlined the special significance of the talks, describing them as an important step in enhancing the strategic partnership between the two nations.
"We are confident that these discussions will provide a significant impetus to the development of a strategic partnership between our countries. This is your first visit to Kazakhstan. The Kazakh people hold great respect for the Armenian people, their history, traditions, and culture. During the visit, a number of important agreements will be signed," Tokayev said.
Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked President Tokayev for the invitation and warm reception, emphasising the continuity and progress of bilateral relations following Tokayev’s official visit to Armenia last year.
"These talks will give a new impetus to our bilateral relations. I believe this new era in our relations began with your official visit to Armenia last year, during which we signed several key agreements. Some of these agreements have already been implemented, while others are in progress. It is a great honour for me to participate in official discussions in Kazakhstan," Pashinyan stated.
Pashinyan arrived in Astana on November 20.
