Armenian parliament speaker thanks Kazakhstan for backing peace with Azerbaijan

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan in Astana, as the two sides pledged to strengthen bilateral ties.

Tokayev said relations between Kazakhstan and Armenia are steadily progressing across multiple areas, supported by a consistent political dialogue and expanding trade, economic, and cultural ties, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakhstani media.

Simonyan highlighted the importance of building a relationship based on mutual trust and enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation as a key element of the bilateral agenda.

During the meeting, Simonyan expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan for its efforts aimed at fostering peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
