Arms stockpile found in Baku grocery attacker's house DETAILS/OFFICIAL
The Interior Ministry and the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan have issued a joint statement on the progress of the investigation into a criminal case initiated on the fact of an armed attack in the Bravo supermarket in the Khatai district of Baku, as a result of which Rufat Hashimov was killed and Samir Sheydayev was seriously injured.
The statement reads that in the course of joint operational and investigative measures carried out by police and prosecutors, it was established that the attack was planned and organized by Ruhlan Ismailov, Dayanat Gudratov, Azer Mammadov, and Sabuhi Gurbanov, Caliber.Az reports.
Gudratov, Mammadov, and Gurbanov were detained, and by court order, they were arrested based on charges of premeditated murder, attempted murder, robbery, illegal possession and carrying of firearms (under Articles 120.2.1, 120.2.4, 120.2.11 29, 120.2.7, and also 32.5, 120.2.1, 32.5, 120.2.4, 32.5, 120.2.11, 32.5, 29, 120.2.7).
Ismayilov, who staged armed resistance during his arrest, was neutralised on March 5, when the armed incident took place.
16,835 Azerbaijani manats, $20,100, an AKS Lancaster-03 assault rifle, a Makarov pistol, a Colt pistol, and ammunition were found in his apartment, and a Blow TR 92D pistol was found in Gudratov's house.
The investigation into the case is ongoing.
