Asian Parliamentary Assembly endorses Western Azerbaijanis’ right to return to ancestral lands
The issue of the return of Western Azerbaijanis to their ancestral lands has received significant international backing, marking another key milestone in the ongoing efforts to address this matter.
The Western Azerbaijan Community announced that the final document of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) session, which took place in Baku on February 17-21, has expressed strong and unequivocal support for the safe and dignified return of Western Azerbaijanis to their historical lands, Caliber.Az reports.
The document also called for open dialogue with the community regarding this pressing issue.
The Asian Parliamentary Assembly, which includes the parliaments of 44 member states, represents a substantial platform for international cooperation.
In November 2023 at the meeting of the Executive Council in Antalya, Türkiye, Azerbaijan was elected APA Chairman for 2024-2025.
The Asian Parliamentary Assembly seeks to promote peace in general and the Asian area in particular.
The support from this influential body underscores the growing global recognition of the rights of Western Azerbaijanis and highlights the issue as a significant topic on the international agenda.
