Astana: Kazakh leader's inclusion in Ukraine NGO database not reflecting Kyiv position
Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi has said that the inclusion of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the list of the Ukrainian NGO Peacemaker is not the official position of Kyiv.
We are talking about the events of 2019 when Kazakhstan's president was included in the list of the Ukrainian site, where the data of people are entered, whom the creators of the Internet portal consider enemies of Ukraine, TASS reports.
"Let's proceed from what the Peacemaker centre is. As indicated on its website, it is a non-governmental organisation that was created by journalists, experts and so on," the minister said.
Tleuberdi stressed that since the site does not represent a state structure, it reflects the unofficial position.
"Peacemaker" is a Ukrainian Internet site created in August 2014 on the initiative of Anton Gerashchenko, who was at that time a freelance adviser to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry.
