Azerbaijan abolishes labour migration quota for foreigners working in Garabagh

Until 2028, the quota of labour migration in Azerbaijan will be determined without taking into account foreigners working in Garabagh.

Trend reports that this was reflected in the amendment to the "Order on determining the quota of labour migration" made by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to the amendment, foreigners involved in labour activity in the territories freed from occupation will not be taken into account when determining the quota of labour migration in Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that this quota determines the final limit of the number of foreigners engaged in paid labour activity on the territory of the country.

This decision is valid from January 1, 2023, to January 1, 2028.
