The latest edition of the International Telecommunication Union’s Global Cybersecurity Index 2024 has been released, revealing Azerbaijan's notable progress in cybersecurity.

The report, which assesses national cybersecurity frameworks and practices globally, has positioned Azerbaijan at the "advanced level" of cybersecurity maturity.

Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan told Caliber.Az that the country scored an impressive 93.76 out of 100 points in the Global Cybersecurity Index. This score reflects Azerbaijan's strong commitment to enhancing its cybersecurity measures and infrastructure.

The Global Cybersecurity Index is a key metric used by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to evaluate and compare the cybersecurity efforts of countries around the world.

The index assesses various aspects of cybersecurity, including legal measures, technical measures, organizational measures, capacity building, and cooperation.
