Azerbaijan agrees to Karabakh Armenians’ return Ambassador responds to Paris mayor

Azerbaijani Ambassador to France Leyla Abdullayeva has responded to Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo’s statements.

“The mayor of Paris has recently spread incorrect information about the release of Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan. As an ambassador and citizen of Azerbaijan, I declare that this information is false and comes from sources that do not want peace in the Caucasus,” Caliber.Az reports citing Abdullayeva's open letter to Hidalgo.

“To speak the truth, you must, first of all, not present others as enemies. We understand that during 30 years of war, two generations grew up, and false legends were told to these generations. However, Azerbaijan agreed to the return of Armenians to Karabakh. The Armenians will have the same rights as other communities, namely, Jewish and Russian ones,” the ambassador emphasised.
