Azerbaijan assists in evacuating Tajik citizens from Iran PHOTO

Ten citizens of Tajikistan have been successfully evacuated from Iran via Azerbaijan.

TheTajik nationals crossed into Azerbaijan through the Astara state border checkpoint and are expected to be transferred to Tajikistan, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

This operation is part of Azerbaijan’s broader effort to assist foreign governments in evacuating their citizens from Iran, as regional security concerns continue to escalate. Azerbaijani authorities have confirmed that the evacuation of foreign nationals is ongoing.

Previously, Azerbaijan facilitated the evacuation of citizens from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, the Philippines, Portugal, and Finland, in response to multiple official requests.
