Azerbaijan, BP agree on technical, commercial terms of solar power plant to be built in Jabrayil

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov has said the technical and commercial parameters of the 240 MW Shafag solar power plant (SPP) project in the liberated Jabrayil district have been agreed upon.

Financial aspects of the project have been agreed upon between the Energy Ministry and the globally operating British energy giant BP, APA quotes him as saying.

"We have settled it on very good terms. Now there are some technical issues left,” he said.

Soltanov added that in the future, the energy produced at the plant will supply the Sangachal terminal, and in this context, certain procedures are being agreed upon between bp and the consortium.
