Azerbaijan denies disappearance of national in Israel

Information about the disappearance of an Azerbaijani national in Israel has not been confirmed, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on October 16 in response to a request from Trend.

As a result of Hamas attacks on Israel, seven natives of Azerbaijan were killed. They are Shamil Abbasov (citizen of Israel), Emin Akhundov (citizen of Israel), Ilkin Nazarov (citizen of Azerbaijan), Lior Azizov (citizenship to be confirmed), Roman Gandel (citizen of Israel), Eden Abdullaev (Israeli citizen) and Emil Samuelov (citizenship to be confirmed).

On October 7, Israel came under a combined attack. From the beginning, a massive shelling of rockets began from the territory of the Gaza Strip, followed by the penetration of militants by land, water and air. As a result, the death toll exceeded 1,300 people and 3,300 were injured.
