Azerbaijan, Egypt strengthen parliamentary cooperation
Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, has met with the Ambassador of Egypt to Azerbaijan, Houssam-Eldine Reda, to discuss avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the sides lauded the current state of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt, emphasizing the pivotal role and support of their respective heads of state in fostering closer ties, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The officials also highlighted the productive cooperation between the Milli Majlis and both chambers of the Egyptian Parliament. Speaker Gafarova emphasized that reciprocal visits by parliamentary delegations and active engagement within parliamentary friendship groups have played a significant role in strengthening bilateral relations.
Ambassador Houssam-Eldine Reda reaffirmed his commitment to further advancing interparliamentary collaboration, while also promoting cooperation in other key areas.
The discussion additionally encompassed a range of matters of mutual interest, reflecting the ongoing commitment of both countries to deepen diplomatic, legislative, and cultural ties.
