Azerbaijan, EU set new milestones in green energy cooperation VIDEO BY EURONEWS
In a landmark event held in Baku, the 11th Southern Gas Corridor conference and the 3rd Advisory Council on Green Energy gathered officials from 24 countries, signaling a new era of energy cooperation, according to the latest coverage by Euronews.
During the discussions, Azerbaijan and the EU reinforced their strategic partnership by diving into key topics such as renewable energy, hydrogen development, and cutting emissions. Last year alone, Azerbaijan delivered over 25 billion cubic meters of natural gas, with a growing share reaching the EU markets.
In a notable move, Bulgaria unveiled plans to develop a vertical gas corridor, while energy giant Masdar announced a bold $1.2 billion investment in renewable energy. Additionally, a new memorandum signed by Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan champions the creation of the Caspian Green Energy Corridor, aiming to enhance cross-border electricity trade and accelerate the transition to sustainable, clean energy.
