Azerbaijan extradites counterfeit money suspect to Turkmenistan

The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan has agreed to the extradition request from Turkmenistan's Prosecutor-General's Office for Hajimuhammet Bekzhanov, a Turkmenistani citizen born in 1994.

Bekzhanov has been on the international wanted list since 2019 for counterfeiting money and was arrested in Azerbaijan in March 2024, as reported by Caliber.Az via the Prosecutor-General's Office.

The decision to extradite Bekzhanov was carried out with a special convoy from the Penitentiary Service of the Justice Ministry and was handed over to the authorized bodies of Turkmenistan.
