Expert: Hybrid war against Georgia, Azerbaijan must be stopped PHOTO
The hybrid war against Georgia and Azerbaijan must be stopped, and the two countries need to cooperate to counter hybrid attacks, Ghia Abashidze, a representative of PosTV’s analytical group, said.
He made the remarks during the Azerbaijan-Georgia Media Forum, titled "The Role of Media in Building Public Trust and Information Security," which is taking place in Baku, adding that a very humiliating campaign is currently underway against Georgia, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

“When a hybrid war is waged against Georgia and Azerbaijan, when all kinds of malicious information are spread about Georgia, it is necessary to exchange experience with our friends, our colleagues, both in Azerbaijan and with other partners,” he said.
As an example, Abashidze cited accusations against the Georgian authorities published by foreign media: “BBC wrote that supposedly chemical weapons were used against demonstrators in Georgia a year ago (during protests in Tbilisi), but, of course, no evidence was found.”
He added that close cooperation is necessary for this: “It is necessary to coordinate between our media, politicians, political scientists, and experts.”
Additionally, Ramilia Aliyeva, head of the "Colourful Georgia" project at Georgian Public Broadcasting, told journalists that Georgia shows interest in Azerbaijan’s modern media ideas.

She noted that both countries have great potential for mutual experience exchange, stressing that modern Azerbaijani media solutions can be useful for Georgian colleagues, while Georgian media projects can also be effectively applied in Azerbaijan.
Aliyeva emphasised that relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia are at a high level, the countries are strategic partners, and they implement many joint initiatives.
“Media is a living organism that constantly needs updating, new resources, and development. Therefore, strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia in this field is especially important,” Aliyeva added.
She stated that both countries have accumulated significant professional experience that journalists can actively share: “Today, exchanging practices between Georgian and Azerbaijani journalists is extremely necessary.”
She also highlighted that the current forum is an important step toward further strengthening media partnerships and will contribute to expanding daily professional interaction.
Representatives of the media from Azerbaijan and Georgia are participating in the forum, which includes panel sessions on "Strengthening the Media Ecosystem to Ensure Information Security" and "Joint Cooperation to Enhance Journalists" Professionalism and Public Media Literacy.
