Azerbaijan-Georgia dialogue paves way for enhanced regional integration, stability

As part of an official visit to Georgia, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, has met  with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to discuss the evolving dynamics of bilateral relations and regional stability.

The discussions underscored the strategic depth and importance of Azerbaijani-Georgian ties. Both officials exchanged insights on the pivotal role their cooperation plays in fostering peace, security, and sustainable development across the South Caucasus, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

A focal point of the dialogue centered on large-scale collaborative initiatives spanning the energy, transport, and communications sectors. These flagship projects were lauded as benchmarks of regional partnership, substantially contributing to the deepening of economic integration and connectivity between Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Furthermore, the leaders explored avenues for expanding cooperation in green energy, signaling a mutual commitment to sustainable development and the energy transition.

Addressing critical regional security concerns, Minister Bayramov briefed Prime Minister Kobakhidze on the ongoing process of normalizing relations with Armenia. He outlined Azerbaijan’s proactive steps aimed at fostering a peaceful and stable regional environment.

The dialogue also encompassed strategies to bolster trade and economic relations, enhance the efficiency of existing transport corridors, and establish new platforms for broader multilateral cooperation. Both parties emphasized their shared vision of transforming the South Caucasus into a dynamic hub of economic activity and regional connectivity.
