Azerbaijan, Hungary discuss military-medical partnership Photo
Specialists from Azerbaijan and Hungary convened in the Azerbaijani capital as part of the two countries’ 2025 bilateral military cooperation plan, meeting to strengthen ties in the field of military medicine.
The discussions took place at the Medical Department of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence, where the Hungarian delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the structure of medical services within the Azerbaijan Army. Officials highlighted recent reforms in military medicine, new treatment methods being implemented, and the range of medical services provided to active-duty and reserve personnel as well as their families, Caliber.Az reports per Defence Ministry.
Azerbaijani representatives emphasised that the Main Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defence is fully equipped to offer modern diagnostic and treatment services and is staffed by highly qualified medical professionals.
Both sides exchanged views on future cooperation opportunities, underscoring their commitment to expanding joint initiatives, sharing expertise, and improving professional training in military medical fields. Officials noted that further working-level meetings are planned to deepen collaboration.
Following the talks, the Hungarian delegation visited the Main Clinical Hospital and other military medical institutions to observe the facilities and conditions firsthand.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of gifts and a group photograph.
