Azerbaijan imprisons ex-leaders of separatist Garabagh clan for four months
An investigator of the Azerbaijani State Security Service has submitted documents for the court to choose a preventive measure in the form of imprisonment for former “presidents” of separatists Garabagh clan Arkady Ghukasyan (1997-2007) and Bako Sahakyan (2007-2020), “representative in Garabagh” of the Dashnaktsutyun party, ex-chairman of the “parliament” of the separatist regime, David Ishkhanyan.
Ghukasyan’s case was considered by the Sabayil District Court, chaired by Judge Ulviyya Shukurova. Ghukasyan will be imprisoned for four months, APA reports.
Sahakyan’s and Ishkhanyan’s cases were considered by Judge Azer Taghiyev. They will be also imprisoned for four months.
They were detained by representatives of the Azerbaijani State Security Service and taken to Baku, the detainees were charged under various articles of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
