Azerbaijan, Italy mull military cooperation PHOTO
Azerbaijani Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has met with Luca Di Gianfrancesco, Italian Ambassador to the country.
The discussion centered on enhancing military cooperation between the two nations, Caliber.Az reports citing the Defence Ministry.
Hasanov highlighted the positive impact of this cooperation on the development of both Azerbaijan's and Italy's armed forces. He noted that progress has been made on 31 planned military initiatives set for implementation between 2024 and 2025. Ambassador Di Gianfrancesco hailed the current state of military relations and underscored the value of ongoing mutual visits between the two countries.
The meeting, which also included Italy's Military Attaché to Azerbaijan, First Rank Captain Gianfranco Vizzini, covered potential areas for further collaboration in the military sector, regional security concerns, and other issues of mutual interest.
