Azerbaijan joins efforts with CIS members to harmonise regional air traffic systems Details of Tashkent session

29 April 2025 16:38

On April 29, Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov represented the country at the 105th meeting of the CIS Economic Council in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The event, which brought together representatives from CIS member states, saw approval of a set of measures aimed at attracting and stimulating mutual investments within the CIS space through 2030, Caliber.Az reports.

In addition, the participants endorsed a draft concept for the harmonisation of national air traffic management systems among CIS countries.

The concept aims to align national aeronautical systems in order to improve the economic efficiency of airspace usage, ensure “transparent” borders for international air navigation, and provide airspace users with services based on unified rules and technologies.

The meeting also reviewed draft cooperation concepts in the fields of public health, light industry, and heavy engineering.

Discussions included proposed amendments to the action plan for implementing the concept of interregional and cross-border cooperation among CIS countries through 2030, along with a number of other documents.

The next meeting of the CIS Economic Council is scheduled to take place on July 18 in Moscow.
