Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Deputy President of the Malaysian Senate, Nur Jazlan bin Mohamed, who is in Azerbaijan to observe the snap parliamentary elections.

The discussion covered the state of bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia, with a focus on the parliamentary elections and regional issues, the ministry told Caliber.Az.

Bayramov highlighted Azerbaijan’s commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections, noting the historic inclusion of territories recently liberated from occupation.

The minister emphasized that Azerbaijan had made all necessary arrangements to ensure the elections met international standards. The meeting also addressed potential areas for future cooperation, particularly in tourism and education.
