Azerbaijan, Montenegro move to boost cooperation through parliamentary channels
Azerbaijan and Montenegro have underscored the importance of strengthening mutual support within international parliamentary organisations, according to a statement released following high-level talks in Baku.
The press service of the Milli Majlis told local media the issue was discussed during a meeting between Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s parliament, and Ervin Ibrahimović, Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the talks, the two sides reviewed the current state of relations and the prospects for further development of friendly and partnership-based ties. Gafarova emphasised that the visit by the Montenegrin delegation was significant in terms of deepening bilateral relations and further advancing political dialogue between the two countries.

The discussions also placed particular emphasis on humanitarian and cultural cooperation. The participants highlighted that inter-parliamentary engagement is an integral component of bilateral relations, with parliamentary diplomacy playing a meaningful role in supporting and advancing these ties.
