Azerbaijan, New Zealand mull preparation process for COP29
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev has discussed preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) with New Zealand's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Zoe Coulson-Sinclair.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources told Caliber.Az that the meeting covered preparatory activities for COP29, which will be held in Azerbaijan this year, and the sides exchanged views on prospects for cooperation.
Baku has been chosen as the host city for COP29, marking a significant milestone in Azerbaijan's commitment to environmental stewardship and global climate action.
