Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Sheikh Abdulmalik Al-Khalili, Chairman of the State Council of Oman, during an official visit to the Gulf state.
Discussions centred on the continued growth of Azerbaijan–Oman relations, which both parties described as being rooted in friendship and mutual respect, according to a post by Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry on X.
Ministers highlighted opportunities to expand cooperation across economic, trade, energy, and humanitarian sectors.
Connectivity initiatives were also a key topic, with both parties underlining their importance in enhancing regional logistics and transit links. Political consultations were cited as a vital tool for advancing bilateral cooperation.
FM Bayramov drew attention to Azerbaijan’s upcoming chairmanship of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Summit and its hosting of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in 2026, describing these events as opportunities to deepen partnerships, foster dialogue, and promote sustainable development.
