Azerbaijan PM, ICDO chief to discuss civil defence cooperation
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with International Civil Defence Organisation (ICDO) Secretary-General Arguj Kalantarli on December 19 to discuss bilateral cooperation and future collaboration.
During the meeting, both sides praised the long-standing and constructive partnership between Azerbaijan and the ICDO. Kalantarli expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s continued support of the organisation and its commitment to international cooperation, noting the country’s experience in civil defence and emergency management, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The ICDO secretary-general also briefed Asadov on the organisation’s ongoing institutional reforms, efforts to expand its membership, and upcoming humanitarian initiatives.
Asadov reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to cooperation with the ICDO and emphasised the importance the country places on strengthening ties with the organisation. The two sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest related to the future development of their cooperation.
