Azerbaijan, Qatar advance military cooperation at DIMDEX 2026 PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Qatar held high-level talks to strengthen military ties, discuss defence-technical cooperation, and plan joint military exercises during DIMDEX 2026.
During his visit to Qatar, First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Karim Valiyev, met with Qatari officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hasan Al Thani, and Chief of the General Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Caliber.Az reports.
The discussions, also attended by Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Qatar, Adish Mamedov, focused on deepening bilateral military cooperation, exploring new defence-technical projects, and planning joint exercises, reflecting both sides’ commitment to a long-term strategic partnership.
