Azerbaijan raises issue about illegal wine production in Karabakh PHOTO

Chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency Goshgar Tahmazli met with Director General of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) Pau Roca Blasco.

During the meeting, Tahmazli talked about the development of viticulture and winemaking in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

The guest was also informed that wine and other alcoholic beverages were produced in the Azerbaijani territories, which were occupied by Armenia for a long time.

Pau Roca Blasco was also informed that the country of origin of these beverages was falsified, and these alcoholic beverages were exported to the EU countries.

OIV director general expressed confidence that fruitful cooperation has been established between Azerbaijan and OIV and that these relations will develop positively in the coming years.

He asked to send official information to the organization he leads about the illegal production, sale and export of wine and other beverages to the EU countries by Armenia.

OIV director general stressed that negotiations will be held with corresponding international, regional structures and organizations in connection with this issue.
