Azerbaijan restricts import of poultry products

Azerbaijan has restricted the import of poultry products.

The import of poultry products was restricted from several regions of Moldova, Poland and the US according to the data from the World Organisation for Animal Health on the detection of avian influenza, the Information Technology and Innovative Solution Department of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency told Report.

The import of live poultry and hatching eggs, poultry meat, meat products from poultry farms in Moldova’s Stefan Voda, Drochia, Rezina cities, Poland’s Dolny Slask Lower Silesia region and the US state of Pennsylvania has been temporarily restricted in accordance with the Terrestrial Animal Health Code of the World Organisation for Animal Health.

Moreover, the import and transit of artiodactyls (cattle and small cattle, pigs, camels, etc.) and related products from the Tunisian Sidi Bouzid province is limited to protect the territory from the spread of foot-and-mouth disease.
