Azerbaijan, Russia forge new regional relations, defying stereotypes
Azerbaijan and Russia have redefined regional relations, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament) Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties Samad Seyidov told a meeting with Grigory Karasin of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, as reported by TASS.
Seyidov emphasized that the two nations have introduced a fresh paradigm to the international community, rooted in the visionary leadership of their respective presidents. This transformative approach traces back to the historic 2001 meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Highlighting the significance of this diplomatic shift, Seyidov remarked that the encounter challenged prevailing regional stereotypes and outdated paradigms. He underscored that Baku and Moscow have effectively demonstrated on a global scale that their collaborative policies adhere closely to international principles, laws, and norms, ultimately fostering enhanced cooperation with neighboring states.
