Azerbaijan, Russia to hold deputy prime ministers' talks on trade in September
Azerbaijan and Russia will hold high-level talks on trade and economic cooperation in September, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced following bilateral discussions with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, in Moscow on July 17.
Speaking at a joint press conference after the talks, Bayramov said the meeting would bring together Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk to discuss a range of bilateral economic issues, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
"Given the need to maintain regular contacts and build on existing achievements, a preliminary agreement has been reached to hold a meeting in September of this year between the Deputy Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia, Shahin Mustafayev and Alexey Overchuk, to discuss a number of issues," Bayramov said.
He said the planned meeting reflects both countries' commitment to maintaining regular dialogue and expanding cooperation in trade and economic affairs.
