Azerbaijan’s Aztelecom, EBRD discuss cooperation

Aztelecom LLC, owned by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have discussed cooperation on the development of telecommunications infrastructure in the districts.

This issue was discussed at the meeting between Azerbaijani Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev and Director-General in charge of Eastern Neighbourhood, Economic Investment Plans and Relations with IFIs at the European Commission Lawrence Meredith, Report informs, citing the ministry.

The representatives of the EBRD and the European Investment Bank attended the meeting. The sides exchanged their views on the economic and investment plan of the EU and possible priority projects within this plan.

At the same time, such issues as the use of EU financial mechanisms, cooperation on the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), and digitalisation of transport corridors were discussed.
