Azerbaijani Defence Industry Minister Madat Guliyev and Turkish Defence Industry Committee Chairman Haluk Görgün discussed a closer continuation of cooperation between the two countries in the military-technical sphere and other issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was held on the third day of the International Defence Industry Exhibition "IDEF-2023,” Report informs.

Minister Madat Guliyev congratulated Haluk Görgün on his new appointment and wished him success in his activity.

Within the framework of the exhibition, Azerbaijan’s Defence Industry Ministry and Turkish company TUSAŞ signed a protocol of intentions to train engineering and technical personnel who will take part in the upcoming joint projects in the field of production of national combat aircraft.

The signing ceremony was attended by Guliyev, Görgün and other officials.

A protocol on cooperation between the Defence Industry Ministry and Turkish company Makine ve kimya endüstrisi was also signed within the framework of the exhibition.

The document was signed by Azerbaijani Deputy Defence Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev and Turkish Deputy National Defence Minister Jalal Sami Tufekci.
