Azerbaijan’s defence minister attends Marrakech Air Show 2024 PHOTO
Azerbaijan's Defence Minister Col. Gen. Zakir Hasanov is on an official visit to Morocco, where he attended the opening ceremony of the Marrakech Air Show 2024 at the invitation of Minister Delegate Abdellatif Loudiyi.
The event featured speeches from the head of government of the Kingdom of Morocco and other dignitaries, alongside various officials and representatives from international companies, Caliber.Az reports per Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
Following the addresses, attendees explored the Marrakech Air Show 2024.
Col-Gen Hasanov observed the latest advancements in military aviation and innovations in the global aeronautics and space industries at the exhibition, which includes displays from leading international firms.
The exhibition, which runs until November 2, will host panel discussions focusing on technological innovations in the defence sector, the development of sustainable strategies, advancements in unmanned aerial vehicles, and other pertinent topics.
On October 31, during the meeting of defence chiefs Hasanov expressed gratitude for the invitation to the Marrakech Air Show 2024.
The discussions centred around enhancing military and military-technical relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco, alongside various other matters of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both ministers signed the "Agreement on Military Cooperation in the field of Defence between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco," solidifying the commitment to strengthen defence ties between the two nations.
