Azerbaijan’s FM Bayramov heads to Germany for Munich Security Conference
Azerbaijani FM Bayramov embarks on working visit to Germany, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has departed for a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, during his visit, Bayramov is set to participate in the 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC) and hold meetings with senior government officials, Caliber.Az reports.
Note that, the 61st Munich Security Conference will take place from February 14 to 16 in Munich, offering a crucial platform for high-level discussions on global security challenges. The conference is particularly timely as it coincides with the arrival of a new US administration, the start of a new European legislative cycle, and German parliamentary elections.
The event will be opened by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, followed by discussions led by Christoph Heusgen. Key topics will include global governance, democratic resilience, climate security, and regional conflicts. The conference will also focus on the future of transatlantic relations and Europe's role in the world.
In addition to the main program, around 200 side events and numerous public outreach events will take place. A key pre-conference event, the 4th No Money for Terror Ministerial Conference on Counter-Terrorism Financing, will be hosted by German Finance Minister Jörg Kukies. The MSC will conclude with Jens Stoltenberg taking over as the new Chair from Christoph Heusgen.
