Azerbaijan’s wrestling team training together with 24 teams
Azerbaijan’s Greco-Roman wrestling team is training in Croatia.
The national team is training in Porec together with 24 national teams from Croatia, Finland, Uzbekistan, Lithuania, Denmark, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, France, US, Japan, Bulgaria, China, Switzerland, Poland, Algeria, Romania, Austria and Norway, according to azerisport.com.
The Azerbaijani team consists of 20 athletes, namely, Eldaniz Azizli (55 kg), Murad Mammadov, Nikhat Mammadli (both - 60 kg), Taleh Mammadov, Ziya Babashov (both - 63 kg), Khasrat Jafarov, Hasan Mammadli (both - 67 kg), Ulvi Ganizade, Gurban Gurbanov (both - 72 kg), Sanan Suleymanov, Khasai Hasanli (both - 77 kg), Tunjay Vazirzade (82 kg), Islam Abbasov, Mahammad Ahmadiyev (both - 87 kg), Arif Niftullayev, Murat Lokyaev, Zamir Mahamadov (all - 97 kg), Beka Kandelaki, Sabakh Shariatii, Sarkhan Mammadov (all - 130 kg). In turn, Rafig Huseynov (82 kg) is being rehabilitated in Baku.
The training camp will last until February 20 and is preparatory for the upcoming Wrestling U-23 Nationals and 2023 European Wrestling Championships.
