Azerbaijan’s third humanitarian aid convoy enters Iran PHOTO / UPDATED
The third batch of humanitarian aid from Azerbaijan to Iran, weighing a total of 200 tonnes, has crossed the Azerbaijan–Iran border, according to the Report news agency.
Trucks carrying the aid entered Iran through the “South Astara” border crossing.

A third consignment of humanitarian assistance dispatched by Azerbaijan to Iran has arrived at the border.
The shipment, weighing a total of 200 tonnes, reached the Azerbaijan–Iran frontier on April 4, local media reports.

Azerbaijan has dispatched another consignment of humanitarian aid to Iran on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, the state news agency reported on April 4.
The aid shipment follows a telephone conversation between President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held on March 8, during which bilateral cooperation and humanitarian support were discussed.
According to the report, the assistance is intended to meet the current needs of the Iranian population. The total volume of the shipment amounts to 200 tonnes, comprising 190 tonnes of food products, 7 tonnes of medicines, and 3 tonnes of medical supplies. The cargo was transported using 10 trucks.
Officials from the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers’ Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the State Agency for Strategic Reserves were dispatched to accompany and deliver the aid to Iran.
On March 18, humanitarian aid weighing a total of 82 tonnes was delivered from Azerbaijan to Iran.
The shipment comprised essential supplies including food products, medicines and medical equipment. Of the total, 76 tonnes were food and other consumables, while 4 tonnes consisted of pharmaceutical products and 2 tonnes of medical supplies.
The aid was transported using five trucks.
