Azerbaijan sends new fuel shipment to Armenia

26 June 2026 10:57

Azerbaijan has dispatched another shipment of petroleum products to neighbouring Armenia, continuing a series of fuel deliveries.

The latest consignment consists of 18 railway wagons carrying 971 tonnes of AI-92 gasoline and eight wagons transporting 467 tonnes of diesel fuel. The shipment departed from Bilajari railway station near Baku and is bound for the Buyuk Kesik station on Azerbaijan's western border, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Since the start of the deliveries, Azerbaijan has exported more than 14,000 tonnes of diesel fuel and over 4,000 tonnes of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline to Armenia.

The rail corridor has also facilitated the transit of Russian goods to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory. To date, more than 34,000 tonnes of grain, around 8,000 tonnes of fertiliser, 133 tonnes of aluminium, 68 tonnes of buckwheat and 414 tonnes of anthracite coal have been transported via Azerbaijan.
