Azerbaijan showcases defence capabilities at Dubai Airshow 2025 Photo

A senior Azerbaijani defence delegation has visited the United Arab Emirates to participate in the Dubai Airshow 2025, one of the world’s leading aviation and defence industry exhibitions.

Deputy Minister of Defence and Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Namig Islamzada, and Deputy Minister of Defence and Director General Agil Gurbanov attended the event’s official opening ceremony alongside government officials, industry leaders, and representatives from major international companies, Caliber.Az reports via Defence Ministry. 

During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation toured the exhibition’s extensive displays, which included advanced military aviation systems, global aeronautics technologies, AI-enabled innovations, and new developments in space research.

Organisers say this year’s Dubai Airshow brings together leading defence and aerospace manufacturers from around the world, offering a platform for governments and companies to explore the next generation of military and civilian technologies.

As part of the delegation’s program, meetings were held with executives from several international defence companies. Discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, particularly prospects for expanding military-technical cooperation.

For the first time, Azerbaijan’s “MIRAS Military-Industrial Company” LLC, operating under the Ministry of Defence, is participating in the Dubai Airshow with its own national stand.
