Azerbaijan, Slovakia explore defence industry cooperation at IDEB 2026 PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Slovakia have discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the defence industry during the IDEB 2026 international defence and security exhibition in Bratislava.
The Slovak capital is currently hosting IDEB-2026, with an Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Defence Industry Vugar Mustafayev in attendance, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry.
The ministry said the exhibition showcases a wide range of military and security technologies, including armored vehicles and military transport equipment, weapons systems and ammunition, radar and communications technologies, cybersecurity solutions, rescue and firefighting equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, surveillance systems, and other innovative defence industry developments.
Following the official opening ceremony attended by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, the Azerbaijani delegation visited national pavilions and reviewed various military products on display.
On the sidelines of the event, Mustafayev held talks with Slovakia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Robert Kaliňák. The sides discussed the current state of and prospects for Azerbaijan–Slovakia cooperation in the defence industry, including defence production, the introduction of innovative technologies, exchange of expertise, and potential joint projects.
