Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has met with Francina Armengol Socias, Speaker of the Congress of Deputies of Spain, in a meeting aimed at reinforcing bilateral cooperation.

During the discussions, Prime Minister Asadov extended his condolences to Speaker Armengol over the recent railway disaster in Spain, which resulted in numerous casualties, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Cabinet of Ministers.

The meeting underscored the positive trajectory of Azerbaijan-Spain relations across multiple sectors, highlighting that bilateral ties are built on principles of friendship and mutual respect. Both sides emphasized the significance of reciprocal visits and parliamentary-level engagement as a foundation for continued cooperation.

Additionally, the leaders explored opportunities to expand mutually beneficial collaboration in key areas, including trade and economic development, investment, energy, and transportation infrastructure.
